ROGER BAXTER

For over 30 years, Roger has provided taxation and accountancy advice to individuals and businesses, working with sole traders, partnerships and companies across the UK. He was formerly Principal Inspector of Taxes for HMRC. His extensive experience from ‘both sides of the fence’ continues to prove invaluable to clients wishing to maximise tax efficiencies throughout the business lifecycle from start-up to sale, and priceless when managing HMRC investigations.

CHARLES BAXTER

Charles is a Chartered Accountant, qualifying with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) in 2012. He began his city career with nine years in corporate tax at EY (formerly Ernst & Young), managing tax compliance for firms ranging in scale from boutique finance houses to household names such as PayPal and HSBC. He then moved to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, gaining valuable ‘in-house’ experience during his two years as Group Tax Manager. In April 2020 Charles joined Roger to form Baxter & Son.

HOW WE WORK

We want you to feel in control of your numbers. We believe in providing a simple, friendly and transparent service to our clients and will talk through everything in plain English to empower you with the understanding you need to feel comfortable and confident in your business decisions. Accounting software is often part of this relationship, saving time and giving you immediate clarity of your finances. However, it’s not always the best solution for everyone and we will be honest about what would work best for you.

Every business is different and every individual has different needs.

We provide a personal service, tailored to the intricacies of each client’s particular circumstances. These of course can change over time and the flexibility of our set up means we can adapt as you evolve. What remains constant is that you will always be looked after by Roger (Baxter) and Charles (Son), personally.
